The very best things!

It is the very best thing to have love.
for your perfect Husband
for your family
for the Gospel
for life!
I am so grateful to have the husband that I do. Nights like last night, where we stay up till all hours of the night even though we have to wake up so early , and we just laugh and laugh until our stomachs ached. And the greatest thing was we were laughing at nothing. it was nothing clever or witty or ridiculous just pure joyful laughter.
It was a great way to end a great weekend, of BYU football, Regional conference ( an amazing talk by Elder Bednar! no teleprompter or anything) Studying, Captain America with friends and a Spooky halloween dinner. Mom and Dad are so nice to us and bought Mr. Marshall a new wallet because he gave his to tom and has been using a little zip lock baggy to carry around all his credit cards for the last two weeks!

For anyone that wondered, it is quite the adventure driving to Provo every morning and coming home late at night, but we love it. We LOVE our new friends in Sandy and we still get to time to play with friends in Provo. But the best part about the commute- is the actual commute! in the Mornings i do my makeup, while marshall drives and then read aloud our scripture study ( which is great because it keeps me awake) Then we write down our favorite part from our reading that day and use it as our theme scripture for the day. Then we put it on a 3x5 card and add to is our 5 most important priorities to get done that day. and finally we write how we are going to show love to each other through out the day.
It is becoming a really helpful fun and happy tradition!
Goals are so good for us, we function so much better! we have even added a walking goal that we keep track of on our Pedometers. it is actually more of a competition.. i walked more on saturday but marshall walked more yesterday.. who will win today...

we are excited for a fun FHE with Jess and Josh carving pumpkins!

We loved spending the weekend in Yellowstone with the family at the Hill Cabin! Thanks Fern and Allen for letting us go! And thank you mom and dad for taking us on a much needed vacation! We just relaxed and played around all day! Relaxing time with the family is the best for sure!  we loved it. It was so fun to be at the cabin together! This summer it got a whole new make over and looks amazing!  and just being outside up there and smelling the trees was so wonderful! The weather was even nice! anyone that hasn't ever been to yellowstone.. it is a must! Here are some of the fun pics we took! ( dad tried to teach me and joy a little bit more about photography this trip.. it was quite exciting!)

Let the medical wife life begin!

Mr. Marshall left today for Arizona!
This trip was origionally booked for january but with a spot opened up we just couldn't resist!
because it was kind of a spur of the moment flight- that equals very expensive! 300 more dollars because he had to book it last minute! who does that. a flight to arizona for $521!
Tomorrow is his very first interview. I am so jealous he gets to be in the warmth and hanging out with our awesome cousins Jamie and Conrad! It would be so fun if we went to Midwestern to get to hang out with them and their cute little family!
Today i still went to school, but i noticed that during my free time, i didn't know what to do! there was no husband to eat with or take a nap with or talk about nothing with..
i think i might actually go study!

Looking forward to a fun trip to the cabin with family this weekend with Mr. Marshall gets home!

catch up thoughts

Wow! its been so very long. I promise i will be better at this, Ive got to be better at something, wouldn't you rather read and write a blog than a journal, maybe thats not true but today it is, typing just seems so much easier.
A lot of things have happened lately to make one think, so let me just tell you how i feel.

My little brother, has always been one of my hero. I knew Marshall was a keeper when i saw how much my little brother Tom idolized him. The last year has been a great whirlwind of hanging out with the three of us together, and it has been one of the greatest blessings in my family and our marriage.

This is a perfect example of what our relationship has been like,

Thats tom, just sneaking his way between all the neices and nephews to hug us both at the same time. We make a great team!
This summer Tom and max would come and wake marshall and i up every morning at 6:15 to read scriptures and study preach my gospel together, i think marshall and i would have died without them to wake us up, but even when i was tired, i will always love and cherish those mornings watching Marsh talk to everyone about serving a mission and all of us learning and growing together.

I love these boys!
Tom left to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter- day saints 2 weeks ago, he is on his 3rd week in the MTC and i already miss him like crazy. you see tom and i have always been pretty close. He always has a way of making you laugh your head off, he makes you want to be smarter, he comforts you yet never lets you be less than who you should be, he is a really good brother.
my favorite memories are of running track together, he always supports me, he always cheers me on and praises me! and i would do the same for him, we would stay after everyone else had gone home from practice and work together on being better. That is what family is about to me. I love that i was blessed with such great family members!

So even though i really miss him, i am so proud of who Tom has grown up to be, of the strength that he has had through all the hard things in his life, i know that he will be the greatest missionary for the lord and that he will help change so many lives, like he has changed mine! Good luck Elder Christensen.
