Baby Jane

This little angel is one month old today!

When we moved into our new ward in Kaysville we made the sweetest friends with the Howes, Laura is the most naturally talented photographer and so sweet to take so many pictures for us! we love her and her whole family and are so grateful for these precious memories that she has captured for us of our sweet baby girl.

Welcome to the world baby girl!

Our sweet baby girl was born December 27 2015.

We named her Jane Elizabeth Hill 

and we are very fast in love.

Getting ready for Baby

 Before our little baby came we tried to live life up with our little boy. I was so scared of the unknown when the baby came. Would I ever sleep, would Max go crazy like so many people say. would we ever have one on one time again? Max is the sweetest boy and the greatest blessing in our lives we are so grateful to have him and especially in this perfect 2 year old stage. Our sweet and amazing friend Laura snapped some family pictures for us one day after church for our Christmas card, and they were so sweet I think I will cherish max's cuteness forever. don't mind my super huge belly!

 For a lot of reasons our baby Girl was Scheduled to be induced on the 27th of December if she didn't come before then. My doctor was out of town until the 24th so we were very careful until then and on christmas - because who really wants to be born on christmas… but on the 26th we did everything we could to induce labor. - With Max's birth, before I was induced we went swimming and jumped off the dock into the lake endless times and walked all day. With our baby girl born in the winter the obvious answer was to go sledding! the weather obliged and after a snowless december it dumped 6 inches on christmas morning. We had a blast on one last adventure before a baby would keep us inside all winter. It didn't start labor but it was fun and then we went home and packed our bags for the next morning.

The Best Christmas

I am convinced there is nothing as magical as Christmas with a toddler. This christmas was so amazing I loved ever minute with this little boy. It was pretty busy getting ready for christmas a baby and having Marshall be gone a lot for work. He was gone the whole month of November in Texas- but that is a whole other story. Max thought every part of christmas was amazing. He was really in love with all things birthday and babies this year so the concept of Christmas being Jesus's birthday was very exciting! He especially liked that He got presents for Jesus's birthday! but I think we might have ruined him into thinking that he will get presents on every other persons birthday now. 

Marshall was rotating with my OB the month before christmas so He got to come to my weekly pregnancy appointments and he was close to home and had fridays off for us to enjoy some extra fun christmas adventures. It was also fun to be around so much family the whole month to enjoy christmas with both of our families. 

 We got to take a little date in Salt Lake for our friend Chelseys birthday before life got so so crazy. We went on the ABC scavenger hunt around the Grand America Hotel and found the giant real gingerbread house!

 We love all things gingerbread :) and went to the festival of trees- which was incredible by the way, and so so touching. Max found all of the BYU trees and he loved seeing the gingerbread Temple and Frozen castle.

 This little boy was so perfect on christmas morning. He got WAY too many presents. It was all my fault i will admit. He was just so excited about so many things that i wanted to buy them all! little did i know that 2 year olds really and truly don't need more than 2 presents :) All max asked for when he talked to Santa was a Dump Truck and a Trampoline. but of course we couldn't stop there. The boy is obsessed with golf so we regifted his golf clubs and practice balls and we got him a little rubber tee that he could us inside- it was an exciting morning of flying golf balls! The other thing we surprised him with was a Trumpet.. and it might have been the best thing I have haver purchased. before christmas he would walk around with any stick and pretend to play the trumpet and be in a marching band. It was truly magical watching him run around all excitedly playing his trumpet. - Thanks Christmas You were good to us this year.

 To find his trampoline he followed the candy canes that santa left him down the stairs. Also a great investment that thing :) It gets all the wiggles out.

 There are not words for how much I adore this little boy. Christmas is the greatest time of year and christmas morning was perfect. but even more- the things that you can capture in a photograph was listening to max tell the story of Jesus's birth over and over and spending a whole month devoted to our saviors birth and life. Being so so pregnant this Christmas has made me feel an extra amount of love for  Mary the  mother of Jesus and the beautiful opportunity and privilege it is to raise children and be a mother. I am so grateful this Christmas to our Heavenly Father for the matchless gift of his divine son.

I could say it a million times but, Max is the most incredible kid to me. I don't know how in the world marshall and I got so lucky. It is nothing at all that we do, in fact most of the time I feel like I have no skills when it comes to being a mom but, Max is amazing. He amazes us everyday! I just want to bottle up every moment with him. He has started waking up at 4 am wide awake and hilarious and I don't even really mind! So we play till 6:30 and go back to bed - unhealthy i know! With a new baby coming I want to enjoy every minute with this boy that I can. plus he is too cute! and maybe it will be good practice for having a newborn again!

Here are some things about Max right now- It could go on for days, and it really might! 

He sleeps with 3 binkies and sometimes on a frisbee like in this picture… his other sleeping companions include stuffed animals.. Ernie, Ruff Ruff and now sometimes, Mickey,Nemo, and a Toy Story 3 book.

Since moving to Utah he goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 8:30

He naps for 3 hours still which I love!

 He loves to play as a whole family and asks where dad is and answers his own question with "oh daddy at work" ( said "wook") or "daddy go potty" or "daddy go temple"

 He says thank you for everything "Nank you" for things like changing his diaper, handing him treats, putting his shoes on and he gives you a big smile like he knows its going to make your day.. which it usually does!

 He loves his Bampa ( grandpa) and mostly going for rides in his truck - ( both his ganders have a truck)

 He thinks he is way bigger than he is :) these are his two friends.. Tessa ( our neighbor who he sees everyday with excitement and Track)

 he wakes up each morning either wanting to cuddle with me or 'eat' he says as soon as I go get him.. and yet that is a pink pinkie.. he likes any kind :) even the kind we steal from oakley.

 HE LOVES BYU- this is his first BYU ice cream experience. he shouts rah rah rah ( like the fight song) every time he sees a Y and growls like a cougar.. There will need to be a whole other post about it because it is too cute!

 He still loves his friend Oakee and asks for her every day! The last time we were there he needed to go to sleep so he ran into oakleys bed and said BYE MOM! I GO NIGH NIGH WITH OAKEE!

 He loves being wrapped up in a towel usually as a fish or a monkey! sometimes he takes a bath just so we will wrap him up and call him our little monkey.

 He loves to help in the kitchen.. cutting things, stirring in the pot  he calls it 'turn turn' this was right after i had scrubbed and mopped the floor.. literally 2 minutes after.

 He loves to visit dad at work and play dr. he calls his stethoscope a 'bum bum' because that is the sound that your heart makes, he listens to my heart beat and the babes everyday!

 He is just cute!

Seriously tho.. could you get any cuter!
